Fresh sewing day - September recap

Wow, can you believe it's October already? Summer is really gone ( we actually had to turn the heat on last night) and I'm not really looking forward to months and months of cold, freezing, ugly, gray weather.
OK, so I'm being very bleak here. Let's just get to fun part - all the projects I started, or finished, or started and finished this month.
September was full of firsts for me. I made my first two blocks for Trust circle of do. Good stitches charity bee, I learned how to do sashiko embroidery the right way (who knew there were so many rules to simple running stitch embroidery), and I also designed my own quilt pattern.
I also participated in two swaps, which was a lot of fun. I actually like the challenge of being restricted and having to come up with something based on my partner's color preferences and mosaic. It really helps me explore new techniques and get out of my comfort zone.
I made pouches, I made bags, and I finally got enough courage to open my store.
So, that was my September, how was yours?
I'm linking this post to Fresh Sewing Day over at Lily's quilts.
Have a wonderful weekend, Svetlana.
