JUNIPER BASKET (how to video)
Hello everyone!
If you’re on a search for a fun and useful project that will challenge and stretch your sewing skills, then my Juniper Basket is just the thing for you :).
I designed these fabric baskets a while ago and they have quickly become a favorite for many of you, thank you. The basket features a zipper pocket on the outside, a slip pocket on the inside, and I especially love the addition of a drawstring closure.
I’ve sewn these baskets in many different fabrics but I think the patchwork one is my very favorite. I love how easy to customize these baskets are. You can add a zipper pocket on the outside (as per instructions provided in the pattern), or you can skip it and let the feature fabric shine.
The same goes for the interior, of course. The pattern provides instructions for a simple slip pocket, but you can use the instructions for the exterior zipper pocket and add it to your lining as well.
I mostly use my baskets to keep my knitting and crochet projects organized, but I also like using them as lovely reusable gift baskets by filling them with goodies and gifting them to family and friends. Plus, they’d make great organizers for toys or craft supplies. Lots of options for sure :).
This pattern comes in two sizes. Finished dimensions (wide x tall x deep): SMALL – 9'' x 7'' x 6''
LARGE – 11'' x 8 ½'' x 7''
