ODESSA SATCHEL (new pdf pattern)

Hello lovelies,

I have a new sewing pattern to share with you today, yay! I’ve had this kind of small-ish shoulder/ crossbody bag on my mind for quite some time and I’m super excited to see it turned out exactly as I imagined.

This is Odessa Satchel and it finishes at approx. 7 1/2’’ wide on bottom x 7 3/4’’ tall x 4 1/2’’ deep and it’s just the right size to fit all one needs without having to lug a huge bag around.

The bag features a handy slip pocket on the outside (perfect to keep one’s phone or keys for an easy access), short carrying handles, and an adjustable, removable shoulder or crossbody strap.

There are also three slip pockets and one zipper pocket on the inside of the bag to help one keep all the items neatly organized and easy to find. Plus, the main zipper closure ensures all the contents of the bag stay securely inside.

I decided to try something new and I substituted D-ring tabs with these fabric loops to hold the main strap and I must say, I’m totally sold. What do you think?

This little cutie was sewn by super talented Jordan @jordanporter.handmade on IG. I love the use of leather handles and the addition of rivets.

And then there’s this adorable Odessa sewn by Dorothy @casocreativedesigns on IG. It’s lovely to see this bag made in two different fabrics, pure perfection for sure!
