cute, cute, cute, and even cuter
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
As promised, I'm back to show you what I've been working on lately.
I am so in love with these stuffed toys. I think they are the most adorable thing ever and I don't want to stop making them. They are pretty big, about 12" tall and my children adore them.
I started by making Bean the dog and the only felt I had at home was just a regular, very polyestery dark brown one from Joann. While it's still OK looking, the wool blend felt I bought on etsy from here is just way prettier. That's what I used for the other tree toys. What a difference, right?
I love how perfectly imperfect they look. I found a pattern for the dog, rabbit, and mouse in Kata Golda's book Hand-Stitched Felt. And then my oldest daughter wanted a frog, of course. So, I improvised a little, I think it turned out really cute.
The great thing is that not only are they totally adorable, they are also a great portable hand sewing project. I have a feeling there's a lot more felt animals in my future.
How about you? Does summer change what you work on?
